My name is John Brice, and I am the owner of Coast Finishing. While an Art student at the University of Georgia, I worked part time in the restoration business to pay for tuition. After finishing my Fine Arts degree, and some graduate hours to earn my teachers certification, I taught middle school Art in the public school system. While an extremely rewarding profession, I missed the pride and satisfaction of working with my hands.

 

After a few years back in Athens in the restoration trade, this time with my own business, I relocated to Charleston.  I have family all over the southeast, from North Carolina to Florida, and there is no city to compare to Charleston for its abundance of quality homes and architecture. It has been a pleasure to work in some truly beautiful homes surrounded by the gorgeous scenery of the South Carolina lowcountry. I look forward to putting my product knowledge, craftsmanship, attention to detail, and more than 20 years of perfecting my craft to work for you. ​
